"This is a great place to take the family. The kids will enjoy the various animals and if you get the chance stop by the bird shows they have. It was great watching the huge birds taking commands and perfoming on que. It was a great experience for the kids..."
"This is a nice zoo..and not too big. They have most of the "major" animals you would see at a zoo, plus a great shark exhibit, some whales, and some other sea animals. They have a lot of places to eat and a small petting zoo. It's a lot smaller than the zoo in Seattle and cheaper as well. Great fun for a day trip..."
"This is an excellent zoo. I take my son here every other week or so. I have the year pass, it is worth the cost. Parking is free. There is an amazing toddler area that my son loves..."
"This is such a fun place to go with the whole family. My kids love going here. Its a zoo and an aquarium rolled into one. They have a Wild Wonders Outdoor Theatre where the zoo keepers do some presentations. They have a Kids Zone that has an otter slide, a dancing lilypad fountain, goats for the kids to feed and a play area..."
"We love the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium!! Its not a huge zoo, but the kids are able to track the animals, and even remember their names from our many visits. It's also good to remember that the mission of this zoo is to only focus on animals found on the Pacific Rim. You're not going to find any african animals at this zoo (ie: giraffes) They added an amphitheater last year, and it has a very good animal show. The polar bears are our favorite animals. They always seem to be playing, and bouncing around in the water when we are there. That exhibit makes you really understand how very massive and strong polar bears can be. Also, don't forget the annual Zoo Lights. They do this exhibit every December, and it gets better every year. They t..."
"We've gone here on a few fieldtrips for school and it's a great place to go! It is not as crowded as Woodland Park zoo so it is perfect if you have a large group. The elephants are fun to watch as they're so close. We also love the peacocks wondering around! They preen right in front of you and make for a great picture! There is ample free parking and a nice zoo!..."
"When going to this zoo you and your family will be in store for a day of fun. There are many different animals to see and shows to watch. The petting zoo is a hit for all that love animals. During Christmas time they have the Zoolights! So much fun. If you haven't been you are missing out on a lot of fun!..."
